Contracting Officer, Teresa R. DuBose, (202) 488-2667. Fabrication
services for Small/Large-scale exhibition projects at the USHMM,
Washington, DC, seeks proposals to furnish all facilities, labor,
materials to fabricate and deliver miscellaneous exhibits, including
work on the `Permanent Exhibitions', Major special exhibitions and
other displays throughout the Museum. Contractors will be required to
perform, either at their facility or through Subcontractors. The
solicitation is for an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ)
contract. The following is required, project management; detailing of
exhibits; production of shop drawings; fabrication of exhibit
structures; reproduction of photographs and graphic elements including
text; professional cost estimating; facility with digital information;
facility with digital information; expertise with various materials and
processes such as wood; metal; plastics; glass; paints and
silk-screening. Projects will be solicited on an-as-needed basis. The
resulting contract will be awarded as a commercial item purchase.
Ordering will be by separate task order for actual requirements. The
solicitation will contain a 8 month base period and two 12 month option
periods to extend the period of performance. Each contract will contain
a minimum workload guarantee of $5,000.00. The maximum workload for
each contract will be $500,000.00. The SIC is 7389 size standard is
$5.0 million. The solicitation will allow for and it is anticipated
that multiple awards will be made from this solicitation. Award will be
made to the responsive, responsible offeror after evaluation of price
and technical. The pre-proposal conference will be held on December 15,
1998 at the USHMM, Annex Building, Washington, DC. It is estimated that
the solicitation will be issued by November 23, 1998. It is estimated
that evaluation and award will be made by February 15, 1999. Requests
