The work will be accomplished in Terrebonne Parish near Houma, Louisiana. The work consists of repairing a channel slope and a levee. The channel slope repair will be accomplished by constructing the channel to grade, compacting earthfill to repair the slope and placing an erosion control and reinforcement matrix in the channel bottom. The levee repair consists of constructing a timber wakefield bulkhead with pole pile supports and pole pile tie-backs. The bulkhead will be constructed using new cresote treated timber and pole piles. Contract performnace time is 95 calendar days. The estimated cost of the project is between $250,000 and $500,000. Invitations for bid (IFB's) will be available free of charge approximately fifteen (15) days from this publication. IFB's must be requested in writing from the above address or FAX number.
