Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Headquarters intends to issue a Firm Fixed Price Contract to Northrop Grumman Corporation (NGC) for fabrication of approximately thirty-six (36) Wing Center Sections (WCS), for the EA-6B aircraft. The EA-6B wing consists of the outer wing panel and the inner wing panel (composed of a right and left outer panel and WCS). The WCS is the primary structural member and attaching point, which strengthens and extends the airframe life. The contract will include a base requirement and two options. The base requirement will provide for approximately sixteen (16) kits and each option will provide for approximately ten (10) kits. NGC is the designer, developer and sole manufacturer of the EA-6B and is the only known source that has the necessary aircraft drawings and schematics, technical qualifications and depot/rework capabilities to support this effort and meet EA-6B program schedule.
