S -- SMALL BUSINESS PARTNERING CONFERENCE The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Great Lakes & Ohio River Division is hosting a Small Business Partnering Conference, December 2, 1998. The one-day conference will be held at the John Weld Peck Federal Building, 550 Main Street, located in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio. Our purpose for meeting with small business firms, including those identified as disadvantaged, 8(a) and woman-owned is twofold. Foremost is to aid and assist qualified small businesses in obtaining and executing procurement contracts and secondly, to provide the awareness, training, and counseling in our upcoming procurement opportunities. Our Division Commander, Brigadier General Hans A. Van Winkle is very interested in understanding your concerns and developing a strong small business program.
