Base Bid consists of: (a)Survey R/W 05/23 centerline (0+00 to 116+00) and cross sections at twenty-five foot intervals. Establish and maintain vertical and horizontal control for all work; (b)Cold mill bituminous concrete airfield pavement; (c) Provide bitumiouns concrete pavement partial and full depth repair; (d) Provide bituminous concrete pavement crack cleaning and sealing; (e) Provide bituminous concrete pavement overlay; (f) Paint runway markings, R/W 05/23 (centerline, edge lines, displaced threshold on the 05 end, threshold on the 23 end, numbers, touchdown zone markings, fixed distance markers, runway/taxiway identification numbers, letters, turn arrows): White with non-reflective glass beads. Runway hold positions (2) on R/W 15/33: Yellow with non-reflective glass beads. This work includes markings on 1000 foot Portland concrete ends: (g) Paint runway markings, R/W 15/33 (centerline and edge lines to hold positions, runway identification numbers,turn arrows); White with non-reflective glass beads. Runway hold positions (2) on R/W 05/23: Yellow with nonreflective glass beads; and (h) Paint taxiway markings (Pads 05 and 23): )centerline and edge lines to instrument hold position, hold position and instrument hold position, runway/taxiway identification numbers/turn arrows, ground receiver checkpoint markings): Yellow with non-reflective glass beads. ADDITIVE #1 consists of Runway 05&23 ends: Provide Portland concrete joint cleaning by sawcutting and sealing same. ADDITIVE #2 consists of Pad 5: Provide Portland concrete joint cleaning by sawcutting and sealing same. ADDITIVE #3 consists of Pad 23: Provide Portland concrete joint cleaning by sawcutting and sealing same. ADDITIVE #4 consists of Lighted Distance Markers: Patch existing mounting leg holes in the distance marker concrete pades. Provide new distance marker signs, mounting legs, hardware and isolation transformers, electrical connections: system complete and operational. ADDITVE #5 consists of Lighted Runway and Taxiway Signs and Runway Lighting: Provide hold line signs, taxiway location signs, taxiway direction signs and runway lighting, supporting work (regulators, conductors, airfield cable, conduit, manholes) and transfer switch gear, complete and operational. The work will be done in four (4) phases to provide the least interference to Government activities. Bid issue on or about 8 Jan 99. Bid opening on or about 12 Feb 99. Estimated cost of construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Performance period will be two hundred forty (240) calendar days.
