DESC: Elmendorf AFB, Alaska has a need to purchase one snowblower attachment with quick-coupler for a John Deere 544E all-terrain forklift. This annoncement is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION. THERE WILL BE NO OTHER REQUEST FOR QUOTATION and a written solicitation will not be issued. All available details are included herein. The snowblower shall be a rotary auger, self-powered unit, with diesel engine, capable of removing plowed ice and snow berms up to 4'H, and shall be operated from inside the cab. It shall have a maximum clearing capacity of not less than (NLT) 1100 tons per hour, a casting distance of 100' or greater, a clearing width of NLT 108", a minimum 180-degree chute rotation, and a detachable instrument panel in the cab. The panel shall include gauges for oil pressure, fuel, and a tachometer. The snowblower unit shall be mounted utilizing an electric-over-hydraulic actuated quick-coupler device, to be operated from the cab. The coupler must match up to the snowblower on one side and the John Deer 544E all-terrain forklift on the other. (i.e. both pieces of the coupler are required). Appropriate attendant hooks shall be provided and attached to the snowblower. The maximum dry weight of the snowblower and quick coupler together shall not exceed approximately 8000 lbs.
