intends to negotiate noncompetitively with Secure Computing
Corporation to provide technical support services to ensure successful
continuation of the development, integration, implementation, and
deployment of the USPS Security Infrastructure Plan. Interested parties
are advised that in-depth specific knowledge and extensive actual
hands-on experience involving current, interim and intended USPS
security infrastructure solutions is required in order to satisfy this
requirement. Additionally, a thorough understanding and actual
hands-on experience involving USPS security strategies, policies,
network infrastructure and firewall systems is also required to satisfy
this requirement. Interested parties are invited to identify their
interest and capabilities only if they can demonstrate having met the
above requirements. If it is determined that a competitive acquisition
will be more advantageous, a solicitation may be issued. This notice
of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination
by the USPS not to open the requirement to competition based upon the
response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the USPS.
Information received as a result of this notice will normally be
considered solely for the purpose of determination whether to conduct
a competitive procurement. NO SOLICITATION EXISTS AND ANY REQUESTS FOR
