The service center will strengthen Egyptian non-governmental organizations by providing training, services, commodities and subgrants. The proposed cooperative agreement will be financed primarily under USAID/Egypt's Intermediate Result 3.1 "Increased Civil Society Organization Participation in Public Decision-making under Strategic Objective 3 "Increased Citizen Participation in Public Decision-making" but will receive additional funding from other USAID/Egypt Strategic objectives to support synergistic activities. The period of the agreement will be five years. The USG cost estimate for this activity is $53.4 million. The preferred method of distribution of USAID procurement information is via the Internet or by request of a solicitation on a 3.5" floppy disk (WordPerfect 5.1/5.2 format).
