OUTREACH CONFERENCE On December 10, 1998, beginning at 10:00 a.m., an Outreach Conference is planned to promote contracting opportunities for small, minority, and woman-owned businesses for Phase III of the New U.S. Courthouse, 801 W. Superior Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio. Representatives from General Services Administration, Small Business Administration, Department of Labor, City of Cleveland, the Urban League, and Hard-Hatted Women will present topics to include an overview of contracting opportunities, introduction to prime contracting with GSA, women in the workforce, and other, related information. The conference will be held in the 31st Floor Auditorium of the A.J. Celebrezze Federal Building, 1240 East 9th Street, Cleveland, Ohio, on December 10, 1998 at 10:00 a.m. The purpose of this conference is to explain small business contracting opportunities and provide another opportunity to those unable to take advantage of the Outreach Conference held for Phase II in April. Phase III includes Mechanical, Electrical and Interior Finishes, requiring close coordination and cooperation with the Phase II contractor. The resulting contract types shall be firm, fixed-price and the estimated value of construction for Phase III in the aggregate is between $70 to $80 million. Estimated values for construction components are as follows: General Trades, from $5 to $10 million; Drywall and Ceilings, from $5 to $10 million; Millwork, from $5 to $10 million; Stone and Terrazzo, from $5 to $10 million; Painting, from $1 to $5 million; Carpet and Resilient flooring from $1 to $5 million; Plumbing. from $1 to $5 million; Fire Protection, from $1 to $5 million; HVAC, more than $10 million; Electrical, from $5 to $10 million; Life Safety and Security from $1 to $5 million; Building Automation Systems from $1 to $5 million; Site Work from $1 to $5 million; and Signage from $500,000 to $1 million.
