COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF NOVEMBER 20,1998 PSA#2226

INSTITUTION OF QUALIFIED SUPPLIERS LIST (QSL) PROGRAM The U.S Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) has instituted a Qualified Suppliers List (QSL) Program for certain commodities. The purpose of the QSL Program is to establish and maintain a list of pre-qualified sources for certain products which are purchased and managed by TACOM. Effective with solicitations issued on or after 1 January 1999 only QSL approved suppliers will be able to receive an award solicited under this program. An approved qualified supplier is a concern who has met the requirements for qualification, and whose business address has been entered on the applicable QSL. The current lists of commodities and technical program requirements can be accessed by visiting the TACOM QSL website at: http:/www.tacom.army.mil/acqcen/qsl/qsl.htm. Remember, in order to recieve an award on a QSL solicitation you must be an approved QSL supplier at time of award. QSL 01(Tracked Combat Vehicle Suspension Components) and QSL 02(Plastic Spare Parts for Small Arms) are scheduled to be effecive 1 January 1999.
