S -- OPERATION & MAINTENANCE SERVICES TO GOVERNMENT OWNED FACILITIES AT NAVAL AIR STATION, MERIDIAN, MS SOL N62467-99-R-5394 DUE 120498 POC Mary Callahan, (601) 679-3090 or (601) 679-2114 ext. 12 or FAX (601) 679-2147 Description: THIS IS THE FIRST NOTICE -- Naval Air Station, Meridian, MS is seeking qualified sources to participate in an Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-76 Cost Comparison Study. The study will consist of looking at all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to provide Operation and Maintenance services to Government-owned facilities at the Naval Air Station, Meridian, MS. Services include, but are not limited to, maintenance, repair, and alterations for equipment, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration; painting (both interior and exterior); plumbing; pipefitting; interior electrical; masonry; metal working; fire and security alarm systems; exterior electrical distribution systems; operation and maintenance of sewage system and natural gas system; operation and maintenance and repair of grounds, landscaping, and surfaced are; maintenance and repair of roofing systems including build-up, asphalt shingles, and metal; transportation operations; and repair of roofing systems including build-up, asphalt shingles, and metal; transportation operations; and pest control services. The Government will provide existing shop and storage facilities. THIS IS THE MARKET RESEARCH STAGE OF THE STUDY. This requirement is to determine the interest and feasibility of proceeding with the A-76 cost comparison study to contract out these services or keep in house with Government personnel. Only parties interested in submitting a proposal for the entire requirement should provide a statement of interest on company letterhead, not exceed 3 pages. The statement should address the contractor's capability and experience with similar work and a statement of understanding of providing the scope of work described. This is not a request for elaborate proposals and pricing information is neither required nor desired at this time.
