byrdg@ala.usmc.mil. This is a Market Research, Sources Sought synopsis
seeking names of potential offerors capable of providing the parts
support requirements stated within the Performance Work Statement
(PWS). The Marine Corps basic requirement covers supply parts support
for common, rebuilt, replacement, original equipment manufacturer,
special purpose and non-price listed parts for commercial and military
transport vehicles. Other vehicles include scooters, fortklifts,
sweepers, rail engines, fire fighting, rescue and safety equipment. The
Contractor Operated Parts Store (COPARS) is physically located within
the Garrison Mobile Equipment Branch. Potential offers must be capable
of meeting critical delivery requirements for providing a
comprehensive range of parts support for all classes of vehicles and
equipment inventories, manufacturer codes, etc. are available upon
request. The SIC code for this effort is anticipated to be 5013. This
is not a formal request for proposal and no contract will result from
this synopsis. Any subsequent solicitation will be synopsized prior to
its release. The Marine Corps Logistics Bases, Albany, GA is
conducting Market research in an attempt to promote, full and open
competition to the maximum extent practical. It is desired that
potential offerors have past experience and knowledge in COPARS, but is
not required. Respondents should submit their qualifications data
including materials that demonstrate the respondents ability to meet
the requirements stated above and submit to the above address.
Respondents should include your firms Dun and Bradstreet Number (DUNS),
Tax Identification Number (TIN) and Central Contractor Register Number
(CCR). The Government will not pay for any materials furnished in
response to this synopsis. Submittals furnished will not be returned to
the sender. Information regarding the PWS, and other pertinent
information may be accessed through the Marine Corps Logistics Bases
