The USDA Forest Service, Region 1, intends to procure mechanical-electrical and general design/design related services. The Region consists of Montana, Northern Idaho, and South Dakota. Two (2) firms will be selected from this announcement, one (1) for architectural services and one (1) for mechanical and electrical services. The anticipated work the architectural services could include, but is not limited to: preparation of complete design and construction documents including plans, specifications, cost estimates and construction services on a variety of projects. These projects include but are not limited to rehabilitation of existing or construction of new administrative, laboratory, residential and industrial buildings. The anticipated work for the mechanical and electrical services could include, but is not limited to: preparation of design and construction documents including plans, specifications, cost estimates and construction services for various projects. The projects include but are not limited to electrical systems, HVAC systems, plumbing, fire protection and alarm systems. Both contracts may include the need for inspection services. Selection of firms for negotiation shall be through an order of preference based on demonstrated competence and qualifications necessary for the satisfactory performance of the type of professional services required, that include (1) Professional capabilities; (2) Specialized experience and technical competence, as required; (3) capacity to accomplish the work in the required time; (4) past performance on contracts with respect to cost control, quality of work, and compliance with performance schedules; and (5) geographical location (proximity to Forest Service Regional Office, located in Missoula, Montana). These contracts will be indefinite quantity contracts. The cumulative amount of all delivery orders for each contract is estimated not to exceed $100,000 per year, with individual delivery orders estimated not to exceed $25,000. The term of these contracts shall be for a base year (one (1) calendar year) with four (4) additional one (1) year options. There is no solicitation to request.
