Cutter is a 378' high endurance cutter that is homeported at Sand Island, Honolulu, HI. Work will start on 5 April and complete by 21 May 1999. Items include: drydocking, temporary services, underwater body inspection, water tight door expansion joint renewal, main gas turbine lube oil cooler installation, porpulsion shaft mechanical seal renewal, controllable pitch propeller system maintenance, Auxiliary salt water piping renewal, firemain relief valve discharge modification, main steam stop and steam reducing station valve replacement, bow propulsion unit hydraulic accumulators inspect and test,rudder and rudder stock inspection and maintenance, ground tackle overhaul, forepeak tank preservation, forward and aft mast preservation, freeboard preservation and underwater body preservation. OOA 14 December 1998, a Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued, in accordance with the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program.
