The Defense National Stockpile Center(DNSC)intends to contract for painting, installation of vinyl siding, and other miscellaneous repairs at the New Haven Depot, New Haven, IN. The Contractor shall provide all labor, supplies, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to repair and/or upgrade 16 Government utility/storage buildings. Work includes installation of approximately 4,000 sq. ft. of new vinyl siding on 4 buildings; painting approx. 18,000 sq. ft. of exterior wall surface on 12 buildings; replacing approx. 30 windows, 42 doors, and 11,000 sq. ft. of roofing. Some doors, wood siding, trim, soffits, and roof decks shall be repaired and/or replaced on a unit-cost basis. The existing wood siding, trim, windows, doors, concrete, and other building components are painted with lead-based paint, and the roof is covered with materials containing asbestos. The magnitude of this project is estimated to be between $250,000 and $500,000. The solicitation will be issued under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program.
