This is a MODIFICATION to solicitation SSA-RFQ-99-0004, previously posted in CBDNet on November 12, 1998. The minimum requirements for the security storage cage are CHANGED as follows: 8 gauge (or better) wire mesh or welded wire partitions, 3.65 meters wide (approx. 12') x 5.75 meters long (approx. 19') x 3.0 to 3.65 meters high (approx. 10 to 12'), to include one 1.5 meter wide (approx. 5') x 2.4 meter high (approx. 8') sliding door. All wire mesh partition surfaces will have either a galvanized or painted finish (colors available to be provided by offeror). The linear length of the partitions will be a total of 9.4 meters (approx. 31'). The requirement for a wire partition ceiling is DELETED. In addition, 2 floor mounted angle stops must be provided along the sliding door side of the cage to protect the cage from damage from forklifts, carts, etc. The minimum requirements for each angle stop is as follows: 200 cm long (approx. 6.5') x 152 mm high (approx. 6") x 100 mm wide (approx. 4") x 12 mm thick(approx. 1/2"). A steel beam or post at the exposed corner of the cage must also be provided to protect the cage from damage from forklifts, carts, etc. The minimum requirements for the steel beam or post is as follows: 152 mm wide (approx. 4") in diameter or square x 1.5 meters high (approx. 5'). All other requirements, clauses and/or provisions as specified in the original announcement will remain unchanged.
