87 -- CATTLE BACKTAGS, OVAL OR DELTA SHAPE, 3 AND 4 DIGITS SOL RFP 37-M-APHIS-99 DUE 011999 POC Patricia Harris (612) 370-2128 87 -- The USDA, Animal and Plant Health Inspections Service (APHIS), Veterinary Services (VS), Riverdale, MD, intends to an estimated 21,000 (M) cattle backtags with three numbers and one barcode and 22,000 (M) cattle backtags with four large numbers and one barcode. (M=thousand). One year contract with the option to renew for 2 additional years. Bid samples will be required. This a fixed price, requirements type contract. Delivery orders will be issued against the contract. Just In Time delivery will be used in this procurement. The Contractor is responsible for shipping backtags to as many as 50 different markets across the United States within 48 hours after receipt of an order. Emergency orders are to be shipped within 24 hours after receipt of an order. Contractor is responsible for all shipping cost incurred. FOB Destination. This is a 100% small business set-aside procurement. Solicitation to be released on or about December 14, 1998.
