requirement for a Contractor to provide call center services. The
Contractor shall provide staff who will answer calls in the FTC
Consumer Response Center for the first 90 days of the contract period,
with the FTC providing facilities, computer and telephone equipment,
furniture, materials and supplies. As the Contractor staff become
familar with the FTC program, and the volume of calls increase, the
Contractor shall provide an off-site call center within approximately
30 miles of the FTC headquarters building (600 Pennsylvania Avenue,
N.W., Washington, D.C.) The Contractor shall provide staff, facilities,
computer and telephone equipment, furniture, materials, and supplies
for the off-site center. The FTC shall provide the Consumer Information
Center database, the computer and telephone network, and the toll free
number. It is aniticipated that the base workload will be between
15,000 and 25,000 public calls per month nationwide. The Contractor
shall assure that the public shall be able to contact live telephone
assistance at the Consumer Response Center from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
eastern time, Monday through Friday, 52 weeks a year, except federal
holidays. The contract period shall be for one year from the date of
award with two one year option periods to extend the term of the
