Dining Facility and OTS Student (BOT) Dormitories. Dining Facility is a 2,550 square meter, 600-1000 person dining facility. The building consists of a steel framed roof structure with concrete tile roofing, concrete masonry load bearing walls and concrete slab on grade. Exterior walls consist of brick veneer and EIFS on concrete masonry and gypsum board interior face. Kitchen equipment, serving lines, etc., is part of the construction. OTS Dorms consists of two matching three story 90 room dorm buildings. Building construction is a cast-in-place concrete. The roof system is concrete tile on plywood deck on wood trusses. Exterior walls are steel studs with a combination of brick veneer and EIFS. Site work for both facilities will include demolition of existing airfield pavement, utilities, paving and landscaping. Bid documents are available on or about 11 December 98. Estimated cost of work is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000. Requests for plans and specifications shall indicate in writing whether firm will bid as a prime contractor or a subcontractor. Unrestricted. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered. Bidders, subcontractors and Dodge/Plan Rooms are encouraged to register on the Internet to receive one CD-ROM. All notifications of changes to this solicitation shall be made through the Internet only. It is therefore the contractors responsibility to check the Internet address listed above daily, for any posted changes to this solicitation. Actual solicitation amendments will be issued either by fax, 3.5" diskette or CD-ROM. The plans and specifications will be issued on Compact Disc (CD-ROM) only and will be provided free of charge. Plans and specifications will not be provided in a printed paper format; however, the Government reserves the right to revert to paper medium when it is determined to be in the Government's best interest. All bid forms, bid bonds, and other normal documents required for the bid submittal, including amendments to the bid submittal, shall be in paper medium. Electronic medium for the bid submittal documents will not be allowed. For this job, a Small Business is defined as having average annual receipts of less than $17,000,000 for the past three years.
