Corporation for National Service is an agency of the United States
Government responsible for the administration of national and community
service programs. We conduct training conferences, workshops and other
seminars throughout our Southern Cluster of States (Alabama, Florida,
Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina,
Tennessee, Virginia/DC and West Virginia). The event to be conducted is
an AmeriCorps*VISTA Pre-Service Orientation for trainees who will serve
as AmeriCorps*VISTA members in communities across the nation. Services
to be procured: Use of conference and banquet facility space and
related services such as participant meals, rooms, audio-visual
equipment. Dates of Event: January 26, 27 & 28, 1999 Location: Georgia,
Florida, Alabama and Virginia We anticipate 100 persons to be in
attendance at the conference. (Note: There may be up to 10 percent
variation between time of bid and conference event: We will confirm
actual numbers prior to the event. Handicap Accessibility: All meeting
places, sleeping rooms, dining rooms, and facility spaces open to the
general public must be accessible to persons with disabilities. To
compete, bidding facilities must meet standard ADA accessibility
requirements. (We will notify the successful bidder of all known
special accommodations required prior to conference.) Mode of
Procurement: This procurement will executed with a standard US
government purchase order. Guest Expenses Covered: We will pay for
rooms, meals and breaks for approved guests who are registered at the
conference facility or hotel. Other incidentals such as telephone
calls, room service, movies, etc. will be the responsibility of each
