This is a notice of intent to negociate a contract on a Sole Source basis with Cape Fear Lift Trucks, 2490 Eastern Boulevard, Fayetteville, NC 28306, for the lease of; one(1) Tailift 5,000lb forklift equipped with LP Gas, 48" forks, triple stage mast, side shift; and two(2) Komatsu 5,000lb forklift equipped with LP Gas, 42" forks, triple stage mast, side shift, back-up alarms, and strobe lights. Normal maintenance and breakdown included. The lease period is for nine(9) months, from 1 January 1999 thru 30 September 1999. Offerors who can furnish the same or comparible items listed above may submit, in writing, a proposal substantiated by technical data, brochures, pictures, etc., to include pricing(FOB Destination). All responses must be received within 15 calender days of the date of this CBD notice. No telephone request will be accepted. Requests for a solicitation will be considered nonresponsive. All responses from responsible sources submitting the required information will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this sypnosis of intent, the Contracting Officer may determine that the action may be completed with resulting award under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Responsible firms responding to this sypnosis will be considered if the action is competed. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the descretion of the Government.
