of Contracting, Attn: STEYP-CR-C, Bldg 2100, Yuma, AZ, 85365-9106 59 -- CRYSTAL REFERENCE OSCILLATOR SOL DAAD01-99-R-0002 DUE 021699 POC
Ms. Pamela Nevels, (520)328-6154, FAX: (520)328-6849 This is a Research
and Development Sources Sought solicitation using multiphase procedures
for Hardened Crystal Reference Oscillators capable of surviving (g)
forces of 0.5k, 30k and 100k. These oscillators will be used in support
of the Hardened Subminiature Telemetry Sensor System Project (HSTSS)
and will be integrated into the Telemetry Transmitter developed by
M/A-COM. This requirement is being solicited on an unrestricted basis.
The required delivery is 6 months for the 0.5k oscillators, 12 months
for the 30k oscillators and 18 months for the 100k oscillators from
the time of contract award. This multi-phase solicitation will consist
of three phases. Phase I- Pre-qualification of offerors, Phase II-
Issue of the Request for Proposal package and Phase III -- Oral
Presentations. This synopsis represents Phase I of this solicitation.
All interested sources must submit a pre-qualification package
consisting of the following criteria: 1) The company must demonstrate
through past or present information, that they have been involved with
high-g crystal oscillator development work in the frequency range of
1MHz or higher within the past three (3) years; 2) The company is
currently in the process of producing or have produced crystal
oscillators capable of surviving a minimum shock pulse of 10,000(g)
peak, 0.5 ms, half sine wave. These crystal oscillator units shall be
no larger than .52x .52x.25inches with capabilities of being packaged
down to a minimum size of .35x.30x.15 inches; 3) The primary lead
technician or technical expert(engineer) shall have a minimum of 10
years experience in the development of Crystal Reference Oscillators.
A draft performance specification for the hardened crystal reference
oscillator is available on the USAYPG Contracting web page at
http://www.army.mil/contracting. At the Contracting homepage click on
RFP's and then on oscillator. The above pre-qualification information
shall be submitted no later than 4:00 PM. Mountain Standard Time (MST)
