The Coast Guard Marine Safety Office (MSO) in Houston, TX requires full food services for a base period of 8 months from 1 February 1999 through 30 September 1999 with two one-year options. FAR 52.217-8 will be included to allow for an additional 6 months extension at the end of the contract. The services include all supervision, personnel, food, expendable supplies, materials, and other essential items and services necessary to provide Full Food Services at the site. The contractor will be required to serve breakfast and lunch and pre-ordered boxed dinners for evening meals on weekdays and weekends. The estimated meals served for the base period is 4,800. The option years are estimated at 7,200 meals each. The type of contract will be a firm fixed price contract, past performance will be evaluated. The contract will provide a provision for adjusting the contract amount up or down at the per meal food cost only for meal served + or -- 10% of the estimated amount.
