Edwards Air Force Base has a requirement for the following components (Quantity, Model #'s and Descriptions -- MFR: Aydin Telemetry Inc): 2-each, PCU-808-9, 8-Card Chassis with 3 MHz crystal; 2-each, SRC-103-1, 3-Channel Synchro/Resolver Card; 8-each, BMC-553-1, 1553 Bus Monitor (single channel dual redundant -- selected data); 1-each, AMC-132-1, 32-Channel Analog Multiplexer; 4-each, PSCC-108-1, Programmable 8-Channel Bridge Conditioner (4 ARM); 2-each, TTE-100-4, Time Code -- standard AV 10 Wire Interface Bus and track split outputs; 2-each, DFC-104-1, 4-Channel Digital Frequency Converter Card; and 1-each, AMC-316-1, 16-Channel Analog Multiplexer. These components will be used to upgrade data acquisition system on F-16 aircraft. Minimum salient performance characteristics: Shall be 100% compatible and interchangeable with the existing data acquisition systems. The Aydin Telemetry data acquisition system uses a proprietary format to acquire the Pulse Code Modulation (PCM) and the MIL-STD-1553 signals generated by the F-16 aircraft. The proposed action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, Aydin Telemetry Inc., (805) 241-4639 under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(1). A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is based upon responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested offerors must submit adequate descriptive literature and evidence to demonstrate their capability to provide such an item within cost and time constraints.
