NASA/LeRC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for an Analyzer 600, bitalyzer 622MB/S error ate analysis system, 4 Mbit fixed pattern memory, 500HZ-622MHZ, internal clock source, error coding emulation, 2 dimensionsal error mapping onto media surface. The Government will trade-in a 400 M bit BitAnalyzer to the contractor to substantially reduce the cost of a new Analyzer 600. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/LeRC intends to purchase the items from SyntheSys Research in Menlo Park, CA, because this company offers a substantial trade-in value on the 400, therefore substantially reducing training cost.
