Furnish all labor, tools, equipment and materials to provide archaeological site testing and evaluation services to include testing and excavation, preparing research designs, site monitoring, site protection and site testing for eligibility status for inclusion on the National Register of Historic Places, nomination of eligible sites to the National Register of Historic Places and site impace mitigation through data recovery of sites eligible for inclusion on the National Register of Historic Places and laboratory projects. Principal Investigator shall be certified by the Society of Professional Archaeologist (SOPA) or hold a doctoral degree in anthropology or archaeology and have a minimum of one year of experience in the archaeology of Central Texas. Personnel performing project archaeologist duties shall have a Master of Arts (MA) in anthropology or archaeology, or be certified by SOPA for field research and have at least one year of experience as a field supervisor. Request for Proposal (RFP) DAKF48-99-R-0002 and subsequent contract shall be issued from Fort Hood, TX. Tentative Issue Date is 21 DEC 1998. Tentative Closing Date is 28 JAN 99. Place of performance is Fort Hood, Texas. Period of performance is, tentatively, 1 FEB 1999 through 31 JAN 2000, with four one-year options. This will be a Requirements-type contract.
