Logistics Command (NMLC) seeks sources to provide multi-disciplinary
health care worker services at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, its
Branch clinics, and other DoD medical facilities located in the
Norfolk/Portsmouth/Hampton Roads area of Virginia (also known as the
Tidewater area). The total quantity and the specific identity of all
clinics to be encompassed will be provided in the RFP. The Government
intends to award multiple indefinite delivery/ indefinite quantity
personal service contracts for these health care worker services. The
solicitation (RFP) for this procurement is tentatively scheduled for
release on or about 15 December 1998. Health Care Worker services to be
included in this acquisition include: Chief Radiation Therapist,
Computed Tomography (CT) Technologists, Family Medicine Physicians,
Family Nurse Practitioners, Laboratory Supervisor, Laboratory
Technicians, Licensed Practical Nurses, Magnetic Resonance Imaging
(MRI) Technologists, Medical Assistants, Medical Dosimetrists,
Pediatric Medicine Physicians, Pediatric Nurse Practitioners,
Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Radiation Therapists, Radiologic
Technologists, Registered Nurses, Physicians, Physician Extenders,
Nurses, Radiology Support, Laboratory Support, Pharmacy Support and
others mid-level providers -- including but not limited to audiologist,
certified registered nurse anesthetist, dietician, occupational
therapist, optometrist, physical therapist, psychologist, social
worker, and speech therapist. The Government's minimum quantity for
each contract awarded will be ordered via issuance of initial Task
Orders awarded concurrently with award of the basic contracts.
Subsequent requests for Task Order proposals will only be requested
from successful contract awardees. The RFP for this acquisition will be
available electronically, and will be posted on the NMLC Website, after
15 December 1998, which is located at www.nmlc.med.navy.mil. Written
