STATION LOS ANGLES, LOS ANGELES, CA. Furnish all labor, materials,
supervision, transportation, equipment and all other necessary items
required to retrofit existing lights at Air Station Los Angeles, Los
Angeles, CA. The work includes but is not limited to replace all
existing 4 foot fluorescent light fixtures and magnetic ballasts with
T8 energy saving lamps and low power factor electronic ballast in
office areas; replace existing 8 foot high output fluorescent lights
and magnetic ballast with T8 energy saving lamps and low power factor
electronic ballast; install 2 -- 4 foot, 40W fluorescent light fixtures
surface mount with wrap around lens to replace each existing 8 foot
industrial type fluorescent lights in production shops; install light
dimmers for high bay lights at helicopter hangar; provide additional
dimmer control box, wires and conduits when required in hangar; replace
all existing 4 foot fluorescent light fixtures and magnetic ballast,and
surface mount type incandescent lights with T8 type energy saving lamps
and low power factor electronic ballast; size to match existing;
install new light fixtre motion sensors; provide additional control
box, wires and conduits when required in conference rooms and bathroom
areas. The performance period is 90 calendar days after receipt of
Notice to Proceed. This procurement is subject to the Small Business
Competitiveness Demonstration Project and is open to large and small
business participation. SIC code is 1731. Small Business Size Standard
is $7.0 M. Drawings and specifications can be purchased on a first
come first served basis, at the rate of $15.00 per set. Requests
accepted by mail only and must include payment in the applicable amount
by Cashier's Check or Money Order only. Personal and Company Checks

PROCEDURES WILL BE UTILIZED ON MAILING OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS. No
refund will be made and materials need not be returned. If project is
cancelled or no award is made, cost of plans and specifications will

disadvantaged business enterprises: The Department of Transportation
(DOT Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization) has
programs to assist minority, women-owned, and disadvantaged business
enterprises in acquiring short-term working capital and bonding
assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available
under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates
up to $500,000 per contract to provide accoutns receivable financing.
