Musgrove, Contracting Officer, (301)295-6755 The National Naval Medical Center has a requirement for the Cardiothoracic Surgery Department. NNMC intends to award a sole sourced purchase order for a preventive maintenance contract for two (2) NOVA Stat Profile M Analyzers, Part# 19703 with thirteen (13) tests, (pH, pCO2, pO2, S02, Sodium, Potassium, Glucose, Ionized Magnesium, Ionized Calcium, BUN, Hematocrit, Lactate and Chloride)to NOVA Biomedical, Waltham, MA. NOVA Biomedical will provide the National Naval Medical Center use of the Stat Profile M Analyzers for a base year period effective from date of award through 30 September 1999 with four (4) option years. The preventive maintenance contract provides for one maintenance inspection, unlimited corrective maintenance visits, accessory pack including a full set of electrodes, fluid pack, tubing, and one set of preventive maintenance supplies, travel, parts and labor. Installation and on-site training is also included. NNMC will be responsible for purchase of operating supplies from NOVA Biomedical as well as freight cost for shipment of the instruments. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
