Carolyn Schwierk, schwierk@pica.army.mil. The U.S. Army, TACOM-ARDEC
has a requirement for 300 rough machined M795 HF1 projectiles in
accordance with drawing SK00001 and 1212977199 and deliver to the ARDEC
Welding Technology Center. After ARDEC welds and stress relieves, the
projectiles shall be shipped to the contractor to complete the M795
manufacturing process. At the end of the process, the contractor shall
deliver a minimum of 100 finished projectiles with nickel rotating
bands, a minimum of 100 projectiles with stainless steel rotating
bands, and the remainder with gilding metal rotating bands. The parts
furnished under this statement of work shall be delivered under the
requirement of the M795 Product Specification, MIL-P-63245B, Amendment
3, Projectile, HE, 155mm, M795 Metal Parts Assembly, with the
exception of the rotating band seat and final band dimensions, which
are specified by drawing numbers SK00001 and SK00003 respectively.
ARDEC will be responsible for welding the rotating bands and for the
post weld stress relief at the ARDEC Welding Technology Center. The
contractor shall maintain serial numbers throughout the entire
manufacturing process. All 300 projectiles shall be from the same heat
of steel. The contractor shall be responsible for packaging and
shipping costs to deliver 300 projectiles to the ARDEC Welding
Technology Center, and shall notify government personnel two days prior
to shipment of parts on specific delivery time. Contractor shall
deliver 300 rough machined projectile forgings to ARDEC 30 days after
contract award, ARDEC will deliver welded and stress relieved
projectiles 60 days after contract award. The contractor shall complete
heat treatment, nosing, finish machining, and inspection 90 days after
contract award, and shall deliver accepted parts to Yuma Proving
Ground 104 days after contract award. This solicitation will be
