Original combined synopsis/solicitation, published in the CBD (Submission No. 270660) and modified by Amendment 0001 (Submission No. 274195), is further modified by this Amendment 0002 to add the following to the description: (1) The type and weight of the inner lining in the "3-color Day Desert color" should be compatible to the referenced jacket, Gore-Tex Best Defense. The inner material must include a water-resistant treatment, but does not have to be Gore-Tex. A sample swatch may be required prior to award. (2) The location of the pockets on the desert camouflage side of the jacket must mirror the woodland camouflage side. There will be no "inside stuff pocket". (3) The placement of the hood straps is approximately at the center and the ends of the hood so that the hood may be rolled up and fastened without the straps interfering with either the zipper or any exterior equipment or objects. There is no drawing for strap placement available. The straps should be reversible so the strap shows the same color as the side being worn. (4) The Gore-Tex brand is not mandatory for the outer lining (woodland side); the outer jacket may be of a water-resistant material that has been demonstrated to be equal to or better than Gore-Tex specifications. All offerors are reminded to acknowledge receipt of Amendments 0001 and 0002 in writing. All offerors are also reminded to include, at a minimum, the seven required items as listed in the original combined synopsis/solicitation as part of their offer.
