J -- MAINTENANCE FOR THE BECKMAN ANALYZER MODEL CX7 SOL RFQ 512(B)-88-99 DUE 122998 POC Derek Underwood, 410-605-7153 The Department of Veterans Affairs Maryland Health Care System, 10 North Greene Streeet, Baltimore, Maryland 21201 intends to issue a sole source solicitation to Beckman Instruments, Incorporated under authority of FAR 6.302-1. The Fort Howard Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 9600 North Point Road, Fort Howard, Maryland 21052 has a requirement for maintenance service including parts, labor, mileage and all allied cost associated with the specifications on the Beckman Analyzer, Model CX7. Minimum maintenance will consist of, at least, the following service as determined by Biomedical Engineering: 1. Preventive maintenance, 2. Scheduled maintenance, 3. Emergency maintenance. This contract will consist of a base year and four (4) one (1) year options that may be excercised. The SIC Code is 8999. This is not a formal solicitation.
