The first is a complete and usable 1,050 square meter, pre- engineered metal building with a 10-ton bridge crane for use as a munitions maintenance facility. The second is to construct two munitions storage igloos. Each igloo will be 193 square meters in one open space. The walls and roofs of the igloos are to be constructed of precast concrete. Both projects will include roads and site utilities. The project is located at Mountain Home AFB, Idaho. This solicitation will be conducted in two phases. In Phase One (prequalification), submittals will be evaluated to determine which offerors may submit proposals for Phase Two. Up to five (5) firms will be prequalified to participate in Phase Two. The prequalification package will be available on or about 14 Dec 1998, at no charge per set, with proposals due approximately three weeks later. The Request for Proposal (RFP) for Phase Two (design and construction) will be furnished to the prequalified offerors shortly after the prequalification is completed. Firms desiring consideration must request a copy of the prequalification package, RFP No. DACA67-99-R-0024, in writing no later than 7 Dec 1998.
