It has been determined to be in the best interest of the Government to cancel solicitation number F08651-98-B-0067 and resolicit the requirement under solicitation number F08651-99-Q-0251. Eglin AFB FL has a requirement to Upgrade 4th Floor HVAC, Building 11, Eglin AFB FL. In general, the work includes furnishing all plant, labor, materials, equipment and all operations in connection with the removal and modification of parts of the existing VAV system serving the 4th floor of Building 11, Eglin AFB FL; Installing a new rooftop chilled/hot water air handling unit; Performing the related ductwork, electrical work, and ceiling work. The work will be broken down into base bid and options 1, 2 and 3. Base bid will include the removal of existing ductwork in room 411 of Building 11, the installation of a new rooftop air handling unit with related ductwork, piping, circulating pump, controls, electrical and ceiling work. The base bid shall include all calibration, test and balance and setup required for this to be a complete operational system. Option 1 will be the removal of existing VAV box, then the installation of new VAV box and the modification of the ductwork as indicated. Option 1 shall include all calibration, test and balance and setup required for this to be a complete operational system. Option 2 will be the modification of the ductwork indicated and setup of the VAV box serving this ductwork. Option 2 shall include balance and setup. Option 3 will be the removal of existing VAV box, then the installation of new VAV box and the modification of the ductwork as indicated. Option 3 shall include all calibration, test and balance, and setup required for this to be a complete operational system. Performance period is 45 calendar days. The above general description of work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the contractor to perform all work and furnish all labor, materials, and equipment complete in accordance with the plans and specifications. Quotes due date of 1 Feb 99 IS ONLY AN ESTIMATED DATE. Estimated dollar range is between $25,000 and $100,000. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after bid opening with no obligation to the offeror by the Government.
