The Air Armament Center (AAC) intends to acquire competitively a 1999 heavy duty, 4x2 truck with Chassis Cab, a DRW wheelbase length of 160"-166" and cab to axle length of 82"- 86". The gross weight is to be between 10,000- 13,000 lbs. and it must have a minimum payload of 4500 lbs. The color of the truck must be oxford white clearcoat with either gray or tan interior. The body must be 8'Wx12'L stake and platform bed (black in color). The stake must have wire mesh to protect the back window (black in color). The lift gate must have a minimum 1600lb capability and must fold up and act as a tailgate (black in color). The floor of bed must be plastic lumber. The truck must have dual rear wheels with LT235/ 85RX 16E BSW all season tires. The engine/transmission must be a 6.0-8.0 turbo diesel/ elect with 4-speed automatic. The exterior of the truck must have an argent painted front bumper and grill, solar-tinted glass, black door handles, sealed beam halogen headlights, roof clearance lights, and west coasttype mirrors. The interior of the truck must have the following: SRS driver's side airbags, auxiliary power point, back panel cover (gray fabric), coat hooks (RH/LH color keyed), dual I/P mounted cupholders, dome lamp (LH/RH door activated- I/P switch operated with delay, Door trim (color keyed molded with grab handle and reflector), hard armrest, floor covering (black vinyl, full), front passenger side assistance handle, headliner (color coordinated molded with cloth), hood release, dual electric horn, instrument panel (color keyed with glove box, 4 air registers with positive shut-off, ashtray and cigar lighter), instrumentation (tachometer, trip odometer, voltmeter, oil pressure, coolant temperature, fuel gage and indicator lights), mirror (11.5" day/night), radio (AM/FM stereo with digital clock and 2 speakers), safety belts (color keyed with adjustable D-rings), scuff plates (color-keyed), seats (HD vinyl full bench including integral head restraints for outboard seating positions), steering wheel (black vinyl- pvc), sun visors (vinyl, LH strap), and fixed interval wiper control. The functional part of the truck must include 130 AMP alternator, #4700 front axle, #9750 DRW rear axle, batteries (750 CCA- 78 A.H), brakes (power hydro boost -- rear abs), 36 gallon fuel tank, shock absorbers (HD gas), #4700 front springs, #9750 DRW rear springs, and wheels (16x6 styled steel, 8 hole). The options needed are wheelbase- 160"-166", air conditioning, daytime running lights, heavy-duty rear suspension. Standard commercial warranty is required.
