C -- ROOFING CONSULTANT SERVICES FOR FACILITIES IN THE SOUTHWEST AREA, WHICH INCLUDES THE STATES OF ARKANSAS, LOUISIANA, OKLAHOMA AND TEXAS SOL 482980-99-A-0618 DUE 010599 POC Jerry Caldwell, Project Manager, 214/819-7270 Roofing consultant services for facilities within the Southwest Area which includes the states of Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas. Work may consist of providing detailed plans and specifications for various types of roof replacements; consulting services on new facility roofs; and review construction contract drawings and/or specifications concerning roof work which may include submitting written reports giving an analysis and evaluation of proposed roof work and recommendations. The U.S. Postal Service reserves the right to make multiple awards on this solicitation. The Indefinite Quantity Contract will be for five years with individual work orders being issued. Each work order will be negotiated as an individual project. Work orders for any one project cannot exceed $100,000 and the total contract cannot exceed $500,000 for each 12-month contract period. The total amount of work ordered over the five-year period may not exceed $2,500,000, or be less than $5,000. Firms that have the qualifications to perform the services described previously are invited to submit a completed SF255, Architect-Engineer and Related Services Questionnaire for Specific Project, with emphasis on roofing inspector qualifications provided by the primary firm and a completed SF 255, Architect-Engineer and Related Services Questionnaire; and a completed SF 254 for each of its proposed consultants to the office shown above, postmarked not later than January 5, 1999. The selection will be conducted by using the submitted SF 255 and SF 254s. Interested firms with more than one office must indicate on their SF 255, the staffing composition of the office in which the work will be performed. Consideration will be given to firms responding to this advertisement in accordance with the instruction in the following order of preference: 1. Within the States of Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas; 2. All others. The contract contains a requirement for firms to provide evidence of current insurance of $200,000 of errors and omissions per claim. It is prohibited to pay any fee, commission, percentage, or brokerage fee to any person or firm contingent upon or resulting from award of a contract for this project.
