CLAIMANTS RECEIVING SUPPLEMENTAL SECURITY INCOME SOL SSA6-99-01 DUE

performed under contract to verify claimants' U.S. residency for the
purpose of establishing eligibility and continuing eligibility for
receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits for the Social
Security Administration (SSA). The government reserves the right to
make multiple awards under this solicitation if deemed in the best
interest of the government. The various service areas are located along
the Mexico-U.S. border in Texas and New Mexico. Offerors may propose on
any or all service area zones. The service area zones are identified as
follows: Zone 1 (includes Brownsville, Harlingen, and McAllen, Texas
including the counties of Cameron, Hildalgo, Stark and Willacy. Zone 2
(includes Laredo, Texas (counties of Webb and Zapata). Zone 3
(includes Eagle Pass and Del Rio, Texas) includes counties of Val
Verde, Kinney, Uvalde, Maverick, Zavala and Dimmit). Zone 4 (Odessa,
Texas (these verifications to be performed in the Texas county of
Presidio within a 15 mile radius of the town of Presidio) Zone 5
(includes El Paso, Texas (two offices) and Las Cruces, New Mexico
(includes the Texas counties of El Paso and Hudspeth and the New Mexico
counties of Dona Anna and Luna. SSA officials will notify the
contractor of the name and address of each residency verification
referral. The estimated number of referrals generated each month are as
follows: Zone 1: 60, Zone 2: 15, Zone 3: 5, Zone 4: 2, Zone 5: 35. Upon
written request, the contractor shall perform an unannounced onsite
visit to the claimant's reported address to verify residency, contact
on other disinterested person who has first hand knowledge of
invididual's residence and submit a written report documenting the
results. The standard industrial classification (SIC) code is 7381.
This acquisition is 100 percent set aside for small business
participation. The period of performance shall be one year from the
date of award(s). The solicitation will be issued approximately
December 24, 1998 with proposals due 25 days thereafter. All
responsible sources may submit a proposal (s) which shall be
considered. Only written requests for the RFP will be accepted. No
telephone requests for solicitation will be accepted. All requests must
refer to the RFP number. Requests will be honored on a first come,
first served basis until supply is exhausted. Please include two
self-addressed labels with each mailed written request. Failure to
enclose labels may cause delay in receipt of the solicitation. Posted
