TOWING SERVICES OF BARGE AP2-62 FROM NAVAL STATION SAN DIEGO, CA TO PUGET SOUND NAVAL SHIP YARD, BREMERTON, WA This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in far subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Solicitation N32205-99-R-6027 is issued as a request for proposal (RFP). This is an unrestricted procurement. The associated standard industrial classification (SIC) code is 4492 -- Towing and Tugboat Services. The Government has a requirement to move barge AP2-62 from Naval Station San Diego, CA to Puget Sound Naval Ship Yard, Bremerton, CA. Tow is to commence no later than 12:00 hrs, 8 Feb 99 and arrive on/about 11:00 hrs, 19 Feb 99. Contractor is requested to provide one tug with 5000 minimum continuous shaft horsepower, with at least two engines to perform the tow.
