THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTATIONS ARE BEING REQUESTED, AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED.*****This solicitation, #53SBNB960014, is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-06. The associated Standards Industrial Classification Code (SIC) for this procurement is 3823, and the small business size is 500 Employees.*****The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement for a Gas Chromatography System -- -SRI Instruments brand name (Part #8610-0003) or equal -- -to perform volatile organic compound (VOC) analysis. The chromatography system will be used in conjunction with SRI equipment (#8610 gas chromatograph) currently at NIST and shall be one hundred percent (100%) compatible with existing instrumentation and software. The system shall include the following: (1) one each (Part #8610-0003) Gas Chromatograph, 8610C serial chassis, 110VAC 60 HZ; (2) two each (Part #8690-0040) Photoionization Detector (PID); (3) two each (Part #8690-2026) Flame Ionization/Dry Electrolytic Conductivity Detector (FID/DELCD); (4) one each (Part #8690-0070) Internal Whisper-Quiet Air Compressor, 110V; (5) two each (Part #8690-0051) Automated Purge-and-Trap/Headspace/Gas Concentrator; (6) one each (Part #8690-0072) Vacuum Pump Interface, Data System-Controlled; and (7) two each (Part #8600-WBC1) 15M x 0.53 mm I.D. Capillary Column. The Contractor shall provide one day of training for 3 persons. In addition, the Contractor shall provide a two year warranty on all parts and labor. The system shall be Y2K compliant. Salient characteristics of the system are portability and small foot print, with a length to width no larger than 19 inches by 16 inches; two uncoupled systems for sampling and analyzing VOC concentrations in one unit, thereby doubling sampling frequency; ability to separate chlorinated and non-chlorinated compounds; and 100% compatibility with existing software.*****Delivery is required within 45 days After Receipt of Order (ARO).
