OFFICER, SYNOPSIS@PHIL.FISC.NAVY.MIL. The Fleet and Industrial Supply
Center Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to procure ClickNet Y2k
V5.0 and ClickNet Professional V4.0 software and administrative
consoles for the CINC Atlantic Fleet and various other naval
activities. The Navy intends to procure software in support of up to
100,000 nodes and up to 600 consoles. In addition, the Navy intends to
procure the ClickNet subscription service in support of the software
and consoles purchased. The software and consoles are required in order
to assess the current inventory compliance with Y2K requirements and
the subsequent resolution of Y2K problems for mission essential/mission
critical systems. The government anticipates the placement of an
indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity type of contract. The eventual
contract action is for supplies that the Government intends to solicit
and negotiate with PinPoint Software Corporation pursuant to the
authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source and No
Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, as
implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1. PinPoint
Software Corporation is the software publisher for the ClickNet
product. The foregoing requirements are to augment existing licences
held by the Navy. Interested persons may identify their interest and
capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This
notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However,
all proposals received by the response date of 17 December 1998 will be
considered by the Government. A determination by the Government to
compete this proposed contract based upon responses received is solely
within the discretion of the Government. Information received will
normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to
conduct a competitive procurement. The standard industrial
