Crews (804) 734-8185 (Site Code DECA01) Defense Commissary Agency(DECA) is seeking more commercially practiced methods of obtaining miscellaneous operating supplies for commissaries located worldwide. DECA spends approximately 10 to 15 million dollars per year on operating supplies for the commissaries. Some examples of these supplies are: (a) paper products (e.g. paper bags, cake boxes, patty paper, freezer paper, bulker and butcher paper), (b) plastic products (e.g. plastic bags, foam trays, stretch film, pallet wrap, poly-can liners, etc.). (c) other miscellaneous operating needs (e.g. gloves, knives, baskets, aprons, bale ties, aluminum trays, labels, floor care and cleaning supplies, and decorations, etc.). DECA is searching for practical methods of grouping the above listed items, how geographic divisions of contracts could be grouped, specification changes, EDI implementation, and credit card implementation. In order to explore and exchange new ideas and obtain open dialogue with feedback, DECA has developed an information-gathering letter with specific data lists.
