This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation: quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. SPO833-99-Q-0063 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-9. This is a 100% small business set-aside under Standard Industrial classification (SIC) code 3499. The small business size standard is 500 employees. Contract line item Number 0001- strapping, galvanized, 1-1/4 inch x .035 inch- Quantity 795,000 Lbs. (7,950 coils) . Strapping will be used for securing multiple ingots, metal bars and similar items on pallets or skids. The strapping shall be coil type package, A/A length,zinc coated, width 1.250 inches, breaking thickness .035 inches, breaking strength 4,750 pounds, specification standard: ASTM D 3953-87. Contract line item Number 0002- Seals (clips), galvanized, 114 HP Quantity 487,000. Deliver within 60 calendar days after award as follows: DNSC Hammond Depot, IN 130,000 lbs. (1,300 coils), 80,000 clips; DNSC Baton Rouge Depot, LA- 20,000 lbs. (200 coils), 12,000 clips; DNSC Gadsden Depot, AL- 80,000 lbs. (800 coils), 48,000 clips; DNSC New Haven Depot, IN- 65,000 lbs (650 coils), 40,000 clips; DNSC Somerville Depot, NJ- 110,000 lbs. (1,100 coils), 66,000 clips; and Curtis Bay Depot, MD 390,000 lbs.
