Rees, (703) 875-6991 This is a notice of intent to modify Contract S-OPRAQ-94-C-0442 with American Communications Company to extend the term of the contract from January 1, 1999 through June 30, 1999 by exercising FAR 52.217-8 Services to Extend Clause which was included in the original contract. This extension will insure the continuous provision of classified and unclassified cable and conduit installation services for the Department of State's Main Building and Annexes througout the metropolitan Washington D.C. area while the Department is conducting a follow-on competitive acquisition for these services. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT IS AVAILABLE FOR THIS EXTENSION. The extension modification to the current contract is only an interim measure for contractual coverage until the follow-on contract can be awarded. The solicitation for the follow-on competitive acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business participation under Request For Proposal Number S-OPRAQ-98-R-0085 which was first published in the Commerce Business Daily on June 2, 1998. If interested in competing for the follow-on competitive acquisition, please submit a letter to the above address requesting that your company be added to the solicitation mailing list.
