Naval Air Systems Command intends to negotiate and award a fixed-price
type contract to procure a modified configuration of the AN/ALQ-99
Band 9/10 Transmitter (Band 9/10), capable of operating in the
adjoining Band 7/8 frequency band. The requirement involves
non-recurring engineering to accomplish Band 9/10 design changes,
fabrication and testing of up to 10 modified Band 9/10 units, creation
and delivery of associated technical data, and repair support. The
transmitter will be a Weapons Replaceable Assembly (WRA), mounted in
the ALQ-99 Tactical Jamming Pod used on the EA-6B aircraft. The
transmitter will amplify and radiate jamming signals generated by the
ALQ-99 Universal Exciter Upgrade and ALQ-99 On-Board System. The
Government intends to award a contract to Tracor Aerospace Electronics
Systems (AES), Lansdale, PA pursuant to Title 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1)
