C -- TREE MAINTENANCE SOL 564-5-99 DUE 012299 POC Donna Lenz, Contract Specialist (501) 44-5035 Provide A/E Services to perform a comprehensive inventory of all trees at the Fayetteville National Cemetery, Fayetteville, Arkansas and furnish a written reort covering the condition and recommended maintenance. A/E must be a State registered or certified arborist (or member of the National Arborist Association and/or International Society of Arboriculture). Work includes providing a tree location drawing (with copy in AUTOCAD), tagging each tree with a permanent tag, providing a tree maintenance cost estimate, writing pruning specifications from National Arborist Standards and preparing contractor qualifications for a Scope of Work to perform tree maintenance. The A/E will be required to assist the VA during the tree maintenance contract and provide a final inspection report. Evaluation criteria will be as follows: (1) Specialized experience of the firm with the type of work required; (2) Past record of performance on similar contracts; (3) Geographic location and facilities of the working office; and (4) Specific experience and qualifications of personnel proposed for assignment to the project. Area of consideration is restricted to firms within a 250-mile radius of Fayetteville, Arkansas. Firms desiring consideration should submit an SF 254 and SF 255 on or before January 22, 1999.
