Department of Veterans Afrairs Consolidated Mailout Pharmacy located in
North Charleston, South Carolina will request proposals for mail
handling support. It is anticipated that bid documents will be
available on or before January 1, 1999 and will be limited. It is the
intent of the Government to award a one year contract with option years
available. Staffing must have the ability to read, be 18 years old, a
high school graduate and have the ability to stand long periods.
Production of a minimum 800 prescriptions packaged per day are
mandatory. The number of staffing needs is estimated at 40 for two
shifts, 40 hours per week. May be required to work on holidays and
overtime. Must have the ability to use bar code scanner and manual
dexterity to manipulate totes on and off of belts and seal packages.
May be required to repackage drugs for distribution. Anyone requesting
