UNCLASSIFIED SATCOM "INDUSTRY DAY" The Joint Staff J-6 will host an Unclassified SATCOM "Industry Day" on 11 Dec as part of a continuing dialogue with the commercial SATCOM industry. The purpose of the dialogue is to keep industry informed about evolving DOD SATCOM needs while seeking opportunities to exploit the emerging commercial market. Companies with commercial SATCOM products and/or services are invited to this non-executive level session. The purpose of this forum will be for DOD to provide feedback from previous industry discussions, deliver additional information on our emerging SATCOM requirements, and foster further DOD/Industry cooperative efforts. The conference will be held from 0830 -- 1200 on 11 December at the Booz-Allen & Hamilton (BA&H) Conference Center located at 8283 Greensboro Drive in McLean, VA. We have asked DISA to present a summary of the DOD's emerging requirements. Additionally, USSPACECOM will discuss DOD's proposed areas for further cooperation in using emerging systems to better satisfy DOD requirements. Other presentations summarizing on-going government efforts will also be provided. Attendance will be limited to two per company.
