The maintenance services for the software developed by Eaton Kenway, Inc. (now known as HK Systems, Inc.) to run the Automated Storage and Retrieval System include toll free telephone access to Eaton-Kenway's national support center with a response time of one hour; remote access to the customer's sytem via modem to be used as necessary; up to ten hours of telephone consultation and engineering support per month; on-site support by Eaton-Kenway software engineer within 24 hours and an Eaton-Kenway software engineer three day on-site evaluation of the overall system performance and report of same. This depot believes HK Systems is the only source capable of satisfying the maintenance of the software developed by that company. The period of performance is expected to be from 1 January 1999 through 31 December 1999 with provisions for four option periods. This is a commercial item. There is no solicitation. Offerors who can provide the maintenance service must respond with a capability statement within 15 calendar days of publication of this notice. Numbered Note 22 applies.
