L -- POST SHAKEDOWN AVAILABILITIES FOR THE AEGIS DDG 51 SHIPBUILDING PROGRAM SOL N00024-99-R-2312 DUE 020399 POC Randall Gibson, SEA 02231G, Contract Specialist, (703) 602-7517 ext. 209, Rick Fields, SEA 02231, Contracting Officer, (703) 602-7517 ext. 206 The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to issue solicitation N00024-99-R-2312 for the accomplishment of Post Shakedown Availability (PSA) for DDG 76 (HIGGINS) with options for accomplishment of four additional DDG 51 Class PSAs. This will also include engineering and management support of PSA's, providing effort and material to perform specified work items inclusive of tests and post repair sea trials to complete performance of PSA's and emergent and other work. The work on all vessels shall be performed in the San Diego, California, Harbor homeport area. A responsible offer will be considered eligible if the offeror has previously executed a master agreement for repairs and alterations of vessels or is a ship repair firm which can demonstrate those qualifications.
