The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to modify an existing contract with Computer Associates (CA) International, to incorporate onsite installation, ongoing technical support services and technical training for software product CA-UNICENTER/TNG and for any of the other 60+ CA products currently installed and licensed under an Enterprise Agreement with the SSA at the National Computer Center, Baltimore, Maryland. The current contract, number 600-97-29903, is a 7-year agreement with CA that expires September 30, 2003. Some of the other software to be supported will include products such as: CA-IDMS (suite), CA-ENDEVOR (suite), CA-MICS (suite), CA-ONE, and CA-TOP SECRET. The labor categories required to provide the technical support are: 1 Managing Consultant, 2 Senior Systems Software Engineers, 1 Senior Database Administrator and 1 Senior Consultant. CA is the only known source capable of providing the required onsite technical support services and technical training for CA-UNICENTER/TNG and the other existing CA software products. Other organizations possessing the requisite expertise and resources are invited to submit information concerning their capabilities, experience, and other pertinent data (including GSA Schedule information. When responding to this announcement, respondents should refer to CA99JT. Responses must be in writing and should be submitted to the address cited at the beginning of this notice. THE DUE DATE FOR RESPONSES IS 3:00 PM, EST, DECEMBER 24, 1998. FAXED RESPONSES SHALL NOT BE PERMITTED. The Government does not intend to pay for information received. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. As a result of evaluating responses to this notice, the contracting officer may determine that a solicitation will be issued.
